Your journey toward financial freedom begins here

Whether you want to ease the burden of increasing credit card debt or develop strategies to successfully manage your household budget and creditor payments, we can help you take the appropriate steps toward reaching your financial goals.  The first step is to contact us to schedule your confidential counseling session.  The session will last about an hour.  You can choose to meet with one of our certified counselors either in-person or by telephone.  You may also get started by submitting a completed worksheet from this website. Print a copy to be used during your counseling appointment.

Your personalized counseling session will begin with a review of your current financial situation.  In order for your counselor to be most effective in assisting you, please have the following information available for your appointment:
  • A copy of a completed worksheet  OR
  • Verification of income (a pay stub will do)
  • Knowledge of monthly living expenses including shelter, utilities, food, clothing, transportation, and insurance costs
  • Most recent copy of any creditor statements, such as credit cards, doctor bills, loans and/or collection accounts
During your appointment, a certified counselor will complete a budget assessment by reviewing your income, expenses and debt levels from the information provided.  Your counselor will assist with identifying financial goals, problem areas and the need for appropriate referrals.  The counselor will also provide advice on managing money, using credit wisely and the importance of building a savings plan.  Once your financial evaluation has been conducted, you will be provided with a Client Action Plan detailing your personal goals and strategies to help guide you toward your financial success.

All information shared with our counselor will remain strictly confidential, as defined in our Privacy Policy.

You may find that financial counseling is all you need to get back on track.  However, if you have significant credit card or other unsecured debt it may be determined that you need more.  If so, your counselor will work with you to determine if a Debt Management Program (DMP) is appropriate to meet your goals.  Financial counseling does not automatically guarantee that you will qualify for a DMP.

To speak with a certified counselor for financial counseling contact us for an appointment or complete and submit the online worksheet.
