Friends at Home
Providing Companionship, Support and Sunshine to Seniors
Friends at Home is a new volunteer program that matches seniors with volunteers who enjoy visiting with others. Both parties feel enriched by the wisdom and memories that each has to share.
Weekly, the "Friendly Visitor" meets with the senior to provide support to increase their overall wellness, alleviate loneliness and prevent isolation. Short term assignments are also possible during a time of change or challenging circumstance.
All visiting volunteers go through a screening process, a background check and training before beginning to visit. We are looking for special individuals to become Friends at Home volunteers. If you are interested in providing companionship and support while visiting with a senior please fill out this
form.
