A comprehensive, holistic way to link people with services
Outreach Services links people with the emergency and ongoing services they need in the Dayton, Ohio, area. A full-time Graceworks Lutheran Services staff person refers individuals, pastors and other agencies to the best place to receive specific services.

Outreach Services provides:
  • A full-time, staffed office and phone line at (937) 222-5231 to respond, assess and connect those in need with the closest Lutheran social ministry, congregational ministry or other appropriate community resource.
  • Advocacy, screening and research to locate assistance, cut red tape and reduce duplication of aid.
  • A point of contact for all area clergy and congregations wishing information, verification of need or follow-up for people requesting benevolent care from their church.
  • A central database inventory of all available Lutheran social ministries, community assistance and other ecumenical services including clothing pantries and food banks.
  • Assistance and guidance for congregations wishing to start or expand a neighborhood-based outreach ministry with material assistance, clothing and household needs.
  • Tracking of people served, demographics of those in need, identification of unmet needs and trends, continous quality monitoring of outcomes and effectiveness.
